When you use Insure.Army's tools or sign up to receive our guides, we collect:
Email address: When you submit a form requesting guides or unlocking tool results
Form inputs: Information you enter in our tools (status, rank, years served, deployment status) to personalize your results
Technical data: IP address (collected automatically via ipify.org), device type (mobile or desktop), browser referrer, landing page URL, and UTM parameters from advertising campaigns
How We Use Your Information
Email: To send you the requested guide or tool results. You may also receive follow-up emails with relevant insurance content for Army soldiers.
Profile data: To segment communications by military status, rank, and needs so we send you relevant content.
Analytics: To understand which pages and tools are most helpful and improve our content.
Third Parties We Use
Brevo (Sendinblue): Our email marketing platform. Your email and profile data are stored in Brevo's systems. Brevo's privacy policy applies.
ipify.org: We call this free IP lookup service to detect your approximate location for our data collection. No data is stored by ipify beyond the API call.
Affiliate partners: When you click affiliate links, our partners (USAA, AAFMAA, etc.) may set cookies and collect information per their own privacy policies.
Cookies
Insure.Army does not use tracking cookies for advertising or analytics beyond what is described above. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or other third-party tracking scripts. Affiliate links may result in affiliate cookies being set by partner sites.
Data Retention
Email subscribers are retained in our Brevo account until they unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
We comply with applicable data protection laws including GDPR (EU/UK) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). EU/UK users have the right to data portability and to lodge complaints with their supervisory authority. California residents may opt out of any sale of personal data (we do not sell personal data).
